## What it does
- Groups from templates: Family, Friends, Team, Event, Neighbors
- Area-based sharing: in Friends, Team, Event and Neighbors groups, members
  are invisible outside shared areas. Family groups are visible everywhere.
- Notifications when members arrive at or leave an area
- Invite by link; anyone who taps it gets a preview and joins in one tap
- Discover: find and join nearby public groups
- No ads, no data selling

## AI assistants
- Works with Claude, ChatGPT and other assistants that support remote MCP

- Connect by approving a short code in the PositionGuard app (iPhone 2.2 or
  newer, Android 0.9.10 or newer). Claude and ChatGPT show as Verified on the
  approval screen.
- Each member decides: "Let AI agents see whether I'm at an area" is off
  until they turn it on. Members can also hide themselves at a single area.
- Assistants see area names, when someone arrived, and how many people are
  at an area. Never exact locations or location history. Read-only.
- Members who haven't turned assistant access on are reported as unknown,
  not away.
- See and revoke every connection in the app's Assistants tab.
- Developers can use an Assistant key from https://dev.positionguardai.com
  with the open-source MCP server or the Muse skill.

## Smart home
- Hubitat: a device per group member with presence, current area and Safety
  Zone attributes, installed through Hubitat Package Manager.
